Comparing the above data with SN-100 base oil specifications,one notes the similarity between these two base oils , with regard to their viscosity and flash point .

LSN-100 is produced by dewaxing of a highly desulfurized , hydrogenated low viscosity lube oil . Due to catalytic hydrotreating at high pressure (200Bar) , LSN-100 has low aromatic content and thus high viscosity index which renders this base oil very suitable for making technical as well as pharmaceutical white paraffin oil.

Low sulfur content of LSN-100 makes it a suitable source of producing transformer oil with no copper corrosion.
